Kitchen 1: by Tru Kitchens

Eliminating kitchen congestion for the family was a key goal in this renovation. As avid cooks who entertain often, bottlenecks in the old kitchen were problematic for multiple cooks. Additionally, the homeowners felt the kitchen didn’t reflect their style or act as a compliment to the rest of this beautiful home. The project and results were a complete success.

These clients planned this kitchen renovation when they first bought the home 15 years ago. The original kitchen had a poor layout for hosting large gatherings. Additionally, the original appliances, cabinets, and counters were not the quality that they preferred.
After vetting many options, Tru Kitchens was hired to help design the kitchen of their dreams. Careful attention was paid to the client’s request for an efficient and effective design, as well as a beautiful aesthetic.

The kitchen features painted maple cabinets on the perimeter with walnut island cabinets. The counters are quartzite, stainless steel, and walnut. The appliances are Wolf, Sub-Zero, and Miele. The cooktop area features stainless counters, a custom spice niche, appliance hide-away and, most prominently, a custom mirror finished range hood. Besides bringing a fabulous design feature reflecting the kitchen, the range hood includes a powerful fan and ample lighting. The dining room includes more custom cabinetry with a silver metallic finish, walnut interiors, and Cambria counter. The existing maple wood floors were refinished in a walnut stain.

Tru Kitchens would like to recognize the collaborative efforts of Grabill Cabinetry, Fidler Furniture, Lynn Hollander Interiors, Bekins Appliances, Great Lakes Granite, Grothouse, and Insignia Homes. This dream team was needed to deliver a dream kitchen for fabulous clients.
