Kitchen 11: by Ramtra Remodeling

Opening up their 80’s kitchen was the homeowner’s priority for this kitchen remodel. The original kitchen had only a doorway to the dining room at the front of the house. Ramtra Remodeling designed the new kitchen around not only opening up and combining those two rooms but also removing the wall to a back sunroom allowing light to come into the entire kitchen from three directions. The sense of spaciousness from the front of the house to the back makes all the rooms flow seamlessly together and make them more inviting than any single room before.

Whiski Kitchen Design Studio designed and supplied the white Cortland cabinets from Legacy Crafted Cabinets that give the kitchen a clean, modern feel. Light gray solid surface counters and muted gray walls nicely contrast with the dark oak flooring.  A peninsula separating the kitchen and dining areas allows the family to either eat at the peninsula or entertain guests more formally, and still be part of the kitchen activities.  Subway tiles on the backsplash complement the stainless range hood, gas cooktop and single under mount stainless sink. A built in double oven, pantry, and separate wall cabinets with glass doors in both the dining and kitchen increase functional and display storage.
