Kitchen 2: by Starlite Kitchens

Words that best describe this new farmhouse kitchen are colorful, rustic, cottage-like, charming, whimsical, functional, and yummy salsa red.

The design is truly a reflection of the creative personality of the homeowner. Before meeting with Shari, she had the opportunity to wander through Starlite Kitchens’ showroom to get an idea of her options in cabinetry brand, door style, wood species, and finish. When she met with Shari for the initial consultation, the homeowner already had a pretty clear picture in her mind of what she wanted to see in her dream kitchen.

Mouser Custom Cabinetry is Starlite’s top of the line cabinetry, and they provided the exact look and feel the customer sought. The perimeter cabinetry is Mouser’s Bedford door style in maple with salsa red finish and java glaze. The island cabinetry and the cabinetry around the sink are Mouser in the Andorra door style, in Cherry with autumn finish and the java glaze. The entire kitchen has Mouser’s weathered look, giving the homeowner the most distressed looking cabinetry Starlite could offer.

The colorful and rustic look of the cabinets is complemented with the warm feel of Matheran granite and a wood countertop on the hutch area. The homeowner loved the idea of staggered wall cabinets to provide some dimensional interest. The final touch is a farm sink that completes the old farm look.
