Kitchen 6: by Gable & Company Kitchen & Bath Renovations

In our initial meeting, the homeowner stressed how important it was to recreate the kitchen space to improve the overall function. The existing refrigerator was located across the room and not part of the work triangle. The kitchen also lacked storage space.
During the design process, we determined the refrigerator was best placed at the end of the sink wall at an angle. As a result, we were able to add a large pantry with drawers and to custom-build a smaller angle pantry to the right.

Due to the size of the kitchen, we were able to create a large island with ample storage. By providing more drawers and taller wall cabinets, the homeowner now has plenty of storage for their needs. A few existing features were included in the new design such as the pull-out cutting board and a shelf above the wall oven to place items. Lighting includes several LED recessed cans, under cabinet task lighting and a simple track light over the table.
The homeowner wanted to change the existing floor in the kitchen, hall, laundry room and foyer to provide easier maintenance. We removed the existing white ceramic tile and installed luxury vinyl flooring. The homeowner now has the kitchen they wished they had ten years ago!
