Kitchen 7: by Dreammaker Bath & Kitchen

Sleek Yet Rustic- Loving the new rustic “barn wood” trend, this couple desired a fresh look by combining clean, white, cabinetry with the warmth of rustic shiplap.

These successful professionals recently purchased this home but wanted greater things for their outdated kitchen, including more storage.

Emily was able to listen and put their dreams to life..without “going over the top” with their budget. The DreamMaker team went to work, removing all of the previous cabinetry, countertops, plumbing, and backsplash. White Shaker cabinetry by Koch & Co., ice white subway tile with a mosaic accent strip, a farm sink, and pewter-toned quartz countertops were installed. Matching bookcases and cabinets with a wine cooler in the dining area gave additional storage and serving space.

One unique aspect of this kitchen is the use of reclaimed Ghost Wood shiplap. It appears on the dining area wall, as well as the back of the island. The wood’s patina adds warmth to the otherwise white- and gray-toned space. The homeowner’s butcher block table also adds to the rustic theme.

No longer would the couple experience their outdated 90s kitchen. Instead, they are now enjoying a stylish kitchen – great for entertaining – and great to live in for years to come.
