Kitchen 8: by Nu-Way Kitchen & Bath

The kitchen remodel was a long time coming for this family of six. Their existing kitchen consisted of a U-shaped area with golden oak cabinetry and green laminate countertops that were blocked off from their living space. The goal was to create a modern, fresh approach with a wide-open concept between the kitchen and living area, with a large island for the family to gather around. By opening up the wall, expanding the tray ceiling across the room, adding a column to the island creating symmetry and structural support, and tiling the fireplace, this space has drastically changed and received a whole new feel.

Using neutral tones with natural wood floors throughout married the rooms perfectly. The wavy texture in the backsplash, oil-rubbed bronze hardware, and unique light fixture above the island adds a subtle yet modern elegance that will stay current for years to come.

When designing this space, the island was a main focal point for the homeowners. They wanted a grand yet functional island where each of their children would have a designated place to sit, do their homework, and have storage inside the island. Each cabinet from Pioneer was strategically thought out to give the homeowners the storage they needed while maximizing the entire space. The homeowners are thrilled with their new kitchen and enjoy family gatherings in the now beautiful, open, and functional space.
