Kitchen 9: by Abode Building Center

Beauty and functionality meet in this kitchen remodel. The new homeowners were looking to update the kitchen space to more closely fit their busy lifestyle. Walls were removed as well as the existing peninsula. This allowed enough room to bring in a large island with great furniture detailing, plenty of seating for the kids and loads of counter space for everyone to be in the kitchen at the same time. The stunning lighting over the island sets the tone for this space.

Pioneer brand cabinets in a Monaco door style fit right in with the Transitional style of this home, and a custom paint finish was used to match the existing trim. The Destiny quartz countertops from Mont are subtle yet compliment the cabinets.

The focal point of the cabinetry has to be the marvelous wood hood. Grand and elegant, it disguises the cooking ventilation system while creating an air of refinement. Glass doors in an x pattern add a touch of class and draw your eye to the ceiling. The gray tile backsplash with a herringbone inset detail is icing on the cake.

Beyond the island, the adjacent wall with double, extra deep pantries that house pullout trays, allow for plenty of convenient storage space. The glass doors are included here again to connect this space to the rest of the kitchen, and a pocket door hides the TV when not in use.
