Many cities hold kitchen and bath tours where consumers are required to drive from location to location to look at the featured projects.  These events are weather dependent, offer limited hours, and many consumers visit only one or two specific participating locations.

In 2014, the West Michigan NKBA and Michigan Home and Lifestyle Magazine launched the Virtual Kitchen and Bath Tour as a way to simplify the process for consumers who can now visit the Virtual Kitchen and Bath Tour any time, day or night, as often as they want, throughout the year.  It has also enabled our member design firms to showcase their completed kitchen and bath projects that were designed for actual clients for a longer period and to reach a much larger audience.

In 2015, the Virtual Kitchen and Bath Tour was expanded to include NKBA designers from all over the state, offering site visitors even more design variety, and designers expanded reach in their marketing.

The Michigan Home Resource Guide was started in 2002 as a tool for consumers looking for information about companies in the construction trades.  The publication had limited distribution, primarily through building supply stores. Then, in 2004, Dennis Stadel founded Stadel Media and purchased the Resource Guide from his partner.

In 2005, the magazine changed names and became Michigan Home and Lifestyle.  The emphasis shifted and design and a few lifestyle articles were added.  Since then the magazine has continued to evolve and is now the only Michigan magazine that is distributed throughout the state and that includes content targeted to all regions in the Lower Peninsula.

NKBA is a national association with over 65,000 members who are focused on the latest in kitchen and bath design trends, are knowledgeable on changes in the industry, and fully understand how the newest products can be used to make a space not only personalized but also functional and decorative.

The Michigan NKBA chapter has members throughout the state who work hard to share their expertise with clients. Be sure to ask your designer if they are an NKBA member!
